Because of words a promise is made,
Because of words tributes are paid,

Because of words broken hearts sing,
Because of words to romance we cling.

Because of words the learned grow lazy,
Because of words the uneducated feel hazy.

Because of words man looks at paper,
Because of words a chat is left for later.

Because of words distance is minimized,
How inadequate! a person in a few iotas disguised.

Because of words a screen provides solace?
I refuse to believe words are that flawless.

The power of words I do understand,
The way it moves men and changes the land.

What I don't like is how meaningless it's become,
Maybe that's just me, to the photographs I've succumbed.

To the man who values his words,
Wise must he be with where he invests.

Because rare is the listener,
Corrupt is the minister,
Eavesdropping are the sinister,
And controlling them is the dictator.

In a world of more people talking,
I think words mean lesser.
Not saying that the solution is to shut up,
Just that we should find a better condenser,
